Discover Zuruldi

If you're ever in the heart of Ieli, Georgia, and craving a memorable dining experience, Zuruldi is the spot you need to check out. Nestled in a cozy corner of this charming village, this restaurant combines rustic Georgian flavors with a welcoming atmosphere that feels like home. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Zuruldi offers a taste of the region that you won't want to miss.

One of the things that sets Zuruldi apart is its commitment to using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. From the moment you step in, the aroma of freshly baked bread and sizzling meats fills the air, inviting you to settle in and savor every bite. The menu is a delightful mix of traditional Georgian dishes, with a few twists that reflect the chef’s creativity and passion for good food.

If you’re unfamiliar with Georgian cuisine, you're in for a treat. The khachapuri, a cheesy bread dish, is an absolute must-try. The crust is perfectly crisp on the outside, while the filling is a rich, melty combination of cheese and eggs. It's one of those dishes that makes you feel instantly at home, no matter where you're from. But it’s not just about the classics-Zuruldi also offers a variety of grilled meats that showcase the best of local farming. The lamb chops are especially popular, marinated with herbs and spices, then cooked to juicy perfection.

The restaurant itself is cozy yet spacious, with warm wood accents and a modern touch that makes it feel inviting without being overly formal. Whether you're looking for a casual meal with friends or celebrating a special occasion, the atmosphere at Zuruldi makes it the perfect place for any occasion. There's even a lovely outdoor patio, ideal for dining al fresco during the warmer months. The attentive and friendly staff make sure you’re well taken care of, adding to the welcoming vibe of the restaurant.

As for the drink menu, it pairs beautifully with the food. Zuruldi boasts a fine selection of local wines, each one offering a unique flavor profile that complements the hearty dishes. Don’t hesitate to ask the staff for recommendations-they know their wines well and are more than happy to guide you to the perfect pairing for your meal.

It’s not just about the food at Zuruldi-the whole dining experience feels carefully curated. From the time you’re greeted at the door to the last bite of dessert, it’s clear that attention to detail is at the forefront. The service is impeccable, with staff members who are not only knowledgeable but also passionate about the food they serve. They’re happy to share the story behind each dish, which only enhances the overall experience.

For those interested in exploring more than just the typical dishes, Zuruldi also offers seasonal specials that take advantage of the freshest produce available. You might find new twists on traditional Georgian dishes or limited-time creations that are as surprising as they are delicious.

The restaurant’s popularity speaks for itself, with many visitors returning for the friendly atmosphere and unforgettable meals. Reviews consistently highlight the quality of both the food and the service, with many patrons mentioning that it’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy great food in a cozy, welcoming environment.

In a town like Ieli, it’s refreshing to find a place that serves such high-quality food without losing the sense of local charm. Whether you're a food enthusiast or someone just looking for a good meal, Zuruldi offers an experience that goes beyond dining-it’s an immersion in the heart of Georgian culture.

  • Delicious food and gorgeous views. We had the Svan corn bread with cheese, chicken and pork kebab with plum sauce, and eggplant salad with walnuts.

  • The best part is the view. You have UShba view and TeTnuldi mountain. Kubdari and Tashmidjabi was delicious. Staff is rude. Restaurant is very crowded and hard to find an available table.

  • I came here at the start of the year. Its a good place to grab a drink and rest after skiing. Has a great view of mount Ushba. But the prices are high, because it’s the only place to eat on top of the mountain. Also it gets crowded when it’s skiing season, you might not find a seat and the service will be slow.

  • Place with a beautiful view of mestia and mountains. If you travel to mestia, this is a must see spot. In hood weather you can see Mt Ushba and Mt. Tetnuldi. Over all I'm in love with Svaneti and Mestia with its beautiful mountains, towers and people. Ride up was about 20 Gel per person. Restaurant has a good choice of beverages and food. It is worth chilling and enjoying the views.
